Workshop Speaker: Aaron Cory
Total Intelligence Group, Inc. is hosting the S. Florida Cybersecurity & Intelligence Workshop at Nova Southeastern University on October 22nd - 24th, 2018. As part of the workshop, several industry experts will be sharing their expertise with those in attendance. The seventh speaker announced is Mr. Aaron Cory.
First Sergeant (Ret.) Aaron Cory joined the Army in July 1998 to serve as a voice language analyst and was assigned to Ft. Meade, MD, shortly after learning Spanish at the Defense Language Institute at the Presidio of Monterey and being awarded the military occupation specialty of 98G. While assigned to 741st MI BN, he worked directly with NSA/CSS HQ, DIA, sister services, and multiple law enforcement agencies to carryout national intelligence directives and graduated from National Louis University receiving a Bachelors of Science in Management with Honors.
Throughout his 20 year intelligence career he carried out missions supporting INSCOM, NORTHCOM, SOUTHCOM, PACCOM, and CENTCOM. He led aerial reconnaissance platform missions as the senior enlist advisor and worked side by side with host nations in South America and Asia to strengthen international bonds and develop and execute joint intelligence initiatives. He facilitated the training of over 1000 linguists during his time at TRADOC, and during his last assignment at Army North, worked with multiple reserve units, and state and federal agencies to provide disaster mitigation efforts in response to natural disasters in coordination with FEMA.
His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (3); Joint Service Commendation Medal; Army Commendation Medal (2); Joint Service Achievement Medal (2); Army Army Achievement Medal (2) Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal; Global War on Terror Service medal; Korean Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon; and Army Service Ribbon.
